Brrkees can't be beat. This is the best ice cream I've ever had in my life!!! It's always so soft and creamy and I have definitely visited twice in one day on multiple occasions. Would argue to say the best ice cream in Pittsburgh!

Update: was able to give them another shot. Quality ice cream. Will stop again.Just moved to the area and felt like trying a new ice cream place. It was new years day and about 6pm. I made sure to call ahead to make sure they were open. The automated message assured me they are "open 7 days a week year round". I make my way to the shop and all of their exterior lights, including the huge, bright neon "open" sign, are on. I park my car and walk up to the window to realize that none of the interior lights are on and there is a small print up stating the stores holiday hours and that they are closed all day new years day. It is foolish to rely on this as a method of advertising your business hours. Change your answering machine message so that your not openly lying to customers. Im leaving 1 star for terrible business practice. I'll consider leaving more if I decide to give the shop another chance.

One of the only spots in the area with great hard serve ice cream! Staff is always friendly, and has plenty of picnic seating available. Prices are reasonable for their large servings

Ice cream was good, speedy service. Too many people with dogs. However would not mind going back yo try some of their other stuff. Will just have to get it and go.

We drove up from New Kensington to try some of the custom, homemade ice cream. I had my heart on trying to recreate a "boom boom cherry" which is a cherry ice cream sandwich. I was disappointed to find that the only cherry option is vanilla with marichino cherries and that the crust is a hard Oreo cookie instead of a soft chocolate cookie. The team did create the custom vanilla cherry sandwich for me though even though it wasn't on today's specials.The ice cream was about par. My husband got a birthday cake shake and my daughter got a cookie dough sandwich. It wasn't bad, but not good enough to come back especially since the team's customer service felt a little off. As if they were having a bad day or unhappy that people eat ice cream on cold days. Either way it felt as if we were a burden. A smile and happy demeanor can go a long way.

Me and my family loves to come here. We love the choice of flavors. Such a wide variety of choices. It is cash only, but it is an amazing place to sit and chat with friends and with family. Five Stars Brr-Kee's Homemade Icecream!

Ur gonna order one of the "Specialty Flavors" as "A Double" in a waffle cone. You're gonna hand them a five dollar bill when the order comes out to $4.75. Then you are gonna put a quarter in their tip cup. Whenever they give u a quarter back as change.Can't Complain

Really nice lady. Huge portions. We hardly get a treat like this driving truck but this was beside a delivery and within walking distance. Ice cream for lunch... Great decision. The cost is cheap for what you get. Don't forget to leave a tip.
